PCM or PCB (protection circuit module or protection circuit board) is the "heart" of the lithium battery pack. It will protect the lithium battery from overcharge, overdischarge and short circuit, etc., to avoid explosion, fire and damage to the lithium battery pack.
For low-voltage lithium battery packs (<20 cells), a PCM with balance function should be selected to maintain the balance of each battery and a good service life. For high-voltage lithium battery packs (>20 batteries), you should consider using an advanced BMS (Battery Management System) to monitor the performance of each battery to ensure safer operation of the battery.
